Did you accomplish your goals?

In this English 111 course, I think I have accomplished my goals. My main goals were to pass this class and to improve in my writing. I think I have done both which is good. I am passing this class and this is the only class that I have a superior grade in. I think I have also improved in my writing because the last essay assignment was a better grade than the first essay assignment. I think this class has helped me in my writing because I learned about commas, semicolons, and how to write good papers. This class did help me accomplish my goals of becoming a better writer.

The people in this scene are mourning over a person who has been tragically murdered in the Virginia Tech shooting incident. The events of a person who has brought a gun to school and violently shot at the people around him, killing and wounding some, has let up to this person's death. The people who are mourning for this person are loved ones who were close to this person. They are probably the parents of the deceased, looking over the memorial and mourning about their child. The objects left at the scene are significant because they represent the school that the person went to and how the person led up to his tragic death. The flowers are significant because it shows that the person was cared for and these are just memories and objects that represent how this person lived.

Informative and Surprising Questions

I am proudest of the subject of this paper because I feel like I explained the subject and my points of my paper very well. I also like it because I think that it is quite surprising to most people who do think that hybrid cars have no flaw at all. The most difficult aspect of writing this paper was looking and researching all the information and finding the sources. There were so many sources that did not explain the points that I wanted to prove about my subject. I would revise my explanation of how the car works because some people might now know how or what hybrid cars really are. I would research how it works and tell the reader in my paper how it works and why they are preferred to be used now.

My Choice - Girl's Bible Study

Every tuesday, every week, it's the same routine that I could never get tired of. Attending Girl's Bible Study has not only strengthened me in my relationship with God, but has also helped me grow as a person overall. Although it does take time out of my day and restricts me from possible plans occurring within those few hours, spending time with girls who might as well be family to me and learning God's word is worth much more than any hangout or some extra sleeping hours. Sometimes it's hard to understand how I got into this position, what influenced me, how I was subconsciously compelled to dive into something, somewhere I was completely uncomfortable in. Regardless of those unexplainable decisions and whether they were irrational or not, I'm glad God used my friends and instilled in my heart to bring me here. <3

The environmental issue that this picture represents is the protection of the Redwood forests. The people who want to protect these forests want the future generation to see what these forests have done for our generation. The forests are the oldest and tallest on the Earth. Many people have cut down so many trees that only about 5% of the forest remains. I would try to learn more about this issue in California or Oregon because that is where the people who protect this forest are. They protect by buying the land that the forest is on so that no one can go there and chop down trees on private property. The people I would consult are people who care about the environment and care enough to spend their money on saving trees. Also I would consult sources like books and magazines about the environment, how to save it, and more about trees and the land that this forest is on.

The vietnam veterans memorial is a memorial in Washington DC. It is a hard and shiny wall with many people's names carved into the wall. They are carved in neat order and these names represent the service members who fought in the Vietnam War. The memorial was set up to honor these US service members who stood up for their country.
I would have to look up more about the history of this memorial coming about and how it is important to the world today. I would also have to research if there are any other parts to this memorial and if this memorial represents anything else other than the names of the soldiers who have fought in the Vietnam War.

This photograph demonstrates the Salvation Army workers in an act of benevolence. This word best describes their behavior and means that they are acting generously. They are acting this way to the people that have suffered through a natural disaster. They're actions demonstrate kindness and compassion towards their fellow human beings. The characteristics of acting benevolent are showing kindness in actions or giving for the sake of charity. These people are showing good citizenship by volunteering to help these people who have lost their things due to a natural disaster. By lending a helping hand and voluntarily showing that they care about other people, they are a perfect definition to describe the word benevolent.
